It was in 1979 that Zeta Space SA, a company based in Barclona, Spain first manufactured, exported and sold 'Pop-Rocks. " Children flocked to buy this new Candy explosion as word spread about the fresh new and exciting that "exploded" in the mouth. 'Pop-Rocks' were 'in thing € ™! The stores were selling out 'Pop-Rocks' as fast as they could get.
'Pop-Rocks "Are made when the ingredients are heated to a temperature so high that gases are formed. These gases are released as a â € ~ € ™ stern when it melts in the mouth. This causes a small explosion – a simple recipe but a clever one!
As interest in 'Pop-Rocks' rose, speculation on their unique properties became an essential part of children's folklore. Those who dared to have Pop-Rocks and cola at the same time soon discovered the myth was not true, but many still dare each other to prove. S strong was the myth that Pop-Rocks case appears U.S. film "Urban Legend € ™.
T-shirts were seen baring the logo "Pop Rock '. A cereal company launched a limited edition cereal Power Puff Girls' breakfast with the extra touch of "Pop-Rocks." Chocolate bars have also been added â € ~ € ™ stern.
Today ' Pop-Rocks 'are back with a bang and a revival as a new generation of children who experience the fun to share with friends and seeing the expression on their faces as candy and fizzes appears in the mouth. They are once again the talk of the playground and "in a sweet 'which have a fitting way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the launch of Space Zeta-Pop SA Rocks.
About the Author
South African born Keith has lived in the south of England for most of his life. After graduating from University with a degree in Business Information Systems Management he decided to start Strawberrysoup; a website design company based in West Sussex and Dorset.
Keith successfully gained entry into the Southampton University Air Squadron and spent over 12 months training to fly. Since then he has continued to follow his interest in flying and has now began his own training in the form of a Private Pilot’s Licence.
Keith also spent 13 months working within the Image and Printing Group at Hewlett Packard in Bracknell. Throughout his time there, he was responsible for many activities including events organisation and website design and maintenance.
