How to stop the cough severe?
My mom has had this cough crazy week and not going away. She tried Mucinix DM, Robitussin DM, Ricola, NyQuil, DayQuil, Theraflu, Alka Seltzer cough, a little strange cough syrup that was prescribed to me by Army doctors, horehound Candy (Whatever that is) … but nothing has helped. Y'all Do you have any idea what could help my poor mother?
The best is the Mucinex. BUT – there's a catch with Mucinex. You have to drink lots of water to operate. Water helps to thin mucus. If the cough has hung on for that long she might want to go see the doctor, without embargo. If she still has some Mucinex, tell him to have – and to drink at least 8 8-oz glasses of water a day, while she takes. It will thin mucus and make it break – she might still coughing, but it will be coughing up congestion, and finally ends up. The purpose of the cough is getting these things out of it. Mucinex helps loosen up so that she can do that. It just does not work if enough water not to drink, that's all.
